I had posted this previously and had not provided a good picture. The serial number shows this as a 1959. Sadly someone has removed the head badge, so I am trying to find out the correct headbadge for it. also need one tire 28 x11/2 can anyone help
Thanks Tom
Hi Tom, you can order tires from your local bike shop... just be sure to ask for canadian size 28x1½ as the other size for british bikes won't fit.
you could also try 700c tires as the bead seat diameter *shoud* be the same.
Thank you Old Bikes for the info
Tom , for the 700 c... the only 700 x 35c and 700 x 38c will fit......and, of course 28 x 1x1/2
the other 700c won't fit... too small ;) hope this will help you....Old-Bikes is okay ;)
Thankyou Old-Bikes I did price a 28 X 1 1/2 at my local bike shop which is a Source for Sports and he found one tire maker with the cost of $50.00 each. so perhaps the 700 X35 or 700 x38 is the way to go
Love the big curve on the tube. The seat looks original. You may need a taller post for today's taller adults.
Hi Ian yes the seat appears to be original. still trying to find out which head badge would be correct for this 59 modelthe holes are there so it has been removed at some point
This bicycle is one of 4 that is for sale now see FOR SALE section
