I recently picked up this old Supercycle. It says made in England. Were these made by Raleigh? The serial # is XA 34632. Does anybody have any info as to what year it may be and who the manufacturer was?
I have a similair bike, boys version. I also would like to find out who it was made by.
Would you be able to tell me the wheel size on your bike? I need to find front and back wheels for mine and it would be nice to know what I should be looking for.
Mine are 28". Unfortunately, the white gum walls are melted from age and there are no markings left. The wheels measure the same as the wheels on my 1938 CCM Rambler which somebody put 700C tires on. They work but look a bit skinny for an older bike. The numbers on those tires are 700CX35C, 28X1 5/8. You can probably get some nice fat whitewalls through your bike shop if you want to keep it looking original.
