I was looking to buy the CCM book shown on this website.
How much of it is dedicated to bicycles? I'm looking more for literature on the complete history of CCM bicycle's rather than the other products they manufactured.

Hi Gzerbinos
The William Humber book is excellent - lots about the bicycle trade and riders through the decades.
I think you are referring to John McKenty's book shown in the left column of this web page. You can order it directly from the author by mailing $20CAD to John McKenty166 Evans Road RR5 Perth, ON K7H 3C7 .
I think there are still a few copies at Squibb's Stationers at 1974 Weston Road here in Weston if you want to pick a copy up there. Call Suri at 4162415801. Squibb's has been at same location for 96 years!
As for what's in it... it is like a biography for the enterprise. Story goes back to 1899 and it's formation from the syndicate, then it's success in dominating the market. Lots of stories about management and how it was run. Some stories about the challenges in the 70's and how it got handed off to different larger corporations in the 80's. Worthwhile reading if you are interested in how the domestic bicycle industry did work and how it got to the shape it is in today.
Mr. McKenty put quite a bit of good journalism into it and is very readable for regular folks. No, I do not get a commission for posting this, I am grateful he documented an important Canadian institution.

Thanks for the reply, I'm more interested in a book more specific to ccm bicycles, the different models throughout the years with specifications and what not. More of a collectors guide kind of thing. if such a book exists.

gzerbinos, no Freewheeling does not have that information. You will have to buy a catalogue for every year to get that info. I have several catalogues for sale if you want to get started. Ron
