A 1941 dealers catalogue shows the standard long CCM chain guard on the Motorbike (yours) and baloon motorbike models, the rambler motorbike has no chainguard. If you don't have to paint...don't ...I see someone tried to spruce up the pinstripes..This bike is presentable and wears its earned character well...Clean 'er up, maybe change the handlebar

With all due respect, isn't the OP's bicycle a Rambler Motorbike? It has the single piece crankset with enamelled rims and truss versus the Triplex crankset with chromium plated rims and truss spec'd on the more expensive Motorbike.
