Snow in Saskatchewan!! (and my bikes)
Good day everyone!
Im new to the block. Here in Saskatchewan old CCMs are tough to come by. I have been searching for a few years now and have not yet found one worthy of restoring(or keeping original). Most of the old bikes I have come across are so rustry and beat up there isn't much left of them and people still want way too much. One of these days I know the right CCM will make its way to my house.
In the search for my old double bar rambler I have found these two bikes. The first one I did is my 1957 Schwinn Spitfire. I just finished my second find. A 1963 Columbia Fire-Arrow. Alot of hours and way too much money put into them, but it doesnt really matter as long as I dont keep the receipts so the wife never really knows how much I spent!!
Nice Columbia Fire Arrow....heres a pic of my original 1957
Thats a beauty!! My 63 was just al little too rough for just a clean up. The rims and fenders should be chrome,
but I love the look of painted fenders and wheels( paint is also much cheaper than rechroming).
Sharp looking bikes.
The Columbia looks like it would take some gas in the tank.
