Ooooooooooooooo.....so you already have a buyer, but, well, we only have a couple of days to bid higher.

First post and you're already putting on the hustle.

So let's guess, you sell real estate for a living....Right?

Hi Lawrence;

It's a Potential deal. No bidding higher at all. No hustle, and my apologies. And I am far from a realtor.

I just want to put this peice of Canadian history in to the right hands.

DUKE.

Hi Folks;

This bike is now up for sale in this forum. I have 2 others in line. Please post interest here, then email please.

I am just getting into knowing only a tiny bit about this hobby. Bare with me on the technical questions, I will do my best to answer to the best of my ability. Love the history of CCM.

Asking $1000.

Thanks

DUKE

Hi Folks;

This bike is considered sold, pending funds.

Thanks for the interest and emails.

So Glad to put this peice of Canadian history CCM FLYTE in to the right hands of a deserving member from this forum.

Thanks

DUKE

damn it sold already

I really needed that seat!!!

Duke, you wrote that you are interested in CCM history, and new to the hobby, etc., and you have one of the coolest bikes CCM ever made, so what I don't understand is why didn't you keep that bike and restore it? You could have asked around on this forum for a correct saddle, and so on. I had been thinking of offering you a trade of 2 or 3 interesting pre-1950 bikes including a wood rim bike if you wanted to start a collection. After selling your Flyte, where will you go next in this hobby? -Brian R. in Toronto.

Thanks Duke, for the most professional, prompt and secure transaction.

Now that I remembered my password I can post a reply.

The bike is disassembled and being prepped for a paint job.

My search for correct parts begins.........

Pretty good score correct crank, seat post,handlebars,bearing cups,headbadge and possibly rear hub 1000 bucks.

another Flyte in Winnipeg, good score Doug

so what year is it? 37, 38 or 39?

don't really need the seat, was only a bad joke

The serial number is a "Z", making it a 1936, I believe. :-)

I'd love to buy a correct seat for it.

Most of the red paint flakes off easily. I'll see how much ivory remailns and decide whether or not to repaint the whole thing or just the black sections.

Post a photo when the restoration is finished, it would be nice to see it.

very good find if it's a Z - 1936

i would for sure repaint it, it would look awesome
