Weight of your CCM Flyte?
Need the help of those lucky Flyte owners. We are writing a historical paper about the 1936-1940 CCM Flyte.
Can you put your Flyte on the bathroom scales and let me know the all-up weight?
Also, any comments about how it actually rides with the reverse forks and sprung frame would be great.
thanks,
Chris.
Would 40 lbs weight be a good guess, for an all-up Flyte with fenders etc?
Mink_Elan, it should be over 40 lbs... I once checked the weight of a 1945 CCM and it was 45 lbs.
Thanks Old-Bikes.
But the 1936-1940 Flyte used ChroMoly high strength aircraft tubing in a thinner gauge, intended to save weight. I was wondering just how much they saved over the conventional diamond frame CCMs of the 1940's.
