New Member First CCM

Hi folks, i normally resore roadbikes from the 70,s and 80,s but had to snag this vintage CCM when it popped up on Craigslist.  I checked the serial number and it is a 1939 bike. Have not figured out which model yet. I,m out on Vancouver Island

CCM Flyer Bottom Bracket Threading

Anyone know if a 1939 Flyer would most typically have an English threaded BB? So left or NDS threaded right-handed and left or DS threaded left-handed?

CCM Flyer Crank Removal

Hoping someone can suggest what crank puller or tool is required for removing the 3-piece cotterless crankset on a CCM Flyer? Thanks

CCM Flyer

Hi There,

Picked up this CCM Flyer frameset and trying to learn what I can about it and how best to restore and find matching components (wheels, stem and bars, pedals etc). Any insight would be most appreciated. Serial number on top of seat lug is 2C9689 and letter "P" stamped on left rear dropout. Someone brazed on a rear brake fitting so that will be the first thing to remove.

Looking to date/understand my serial number

Just got an older Sterling bike. Badge indicates Canadian made, but I need a couple things. One is to identify the year the other is i seem to be missing the chain guard if anyone has one and looking for a good source for tires as these seem to be an elusive size.
sorry can't seem to figure out why the image posts upside down.

Hello, just recently picked up this bike along with a couple others. The bike seems remarkably complete, the plan is to just clean it up and make a decent rider out of it.

CCM Tour du Monde?

Hi,

I'm tryng to determone if the CCM 12 speed I have is a  1984 Tour du Monde?

That's the only similar match I've found on the internet but would like to verify it.

Seems most of the components are made in Europe - nice light bike for way back then.

1984 seems late to me. I believe I bought this brand new at D&J Cycle in Rexdale at a younger age than that makes me.

1937 BB specs?

Hello does anyone know the size of the bottom Bracket size of a 1937 "motorbike" ? 68mm? etc.

thanks
