1896 T. EATON bicycles and accessories

Great info Walter. Thanks for posting.

OMG I think my mystery bike was sold by Eatons! I was able to identify it a few months ago as a c.1894 Hartford X, and low and behold Eatons featured Eatonia and Hartford bikes in the same 1896 catalogue. It has the same frame and other features as the Eatonia Model B (except with 26" tires) and Hartford No.6. It even has the same little curved piece of metal at the rear of the chain guard and the same Garford saddle. The only question mark is the length of the rear fender.  This makes total sense, as this bike came out of a farm auction about 60 years ago. The Eaton's catalogue would be strong option for a would-be bike owner in 1890s rural Ontario. Does anyone have an 1890s Eatonia badge for sale or could post an image of one?
