1897 Goold Brantford Red Bird

 Just got my 1897 Brantford Red Bird bike up on wheels  I brought this bike or parts of it back from New Zealand last winter.  Bike is complete and rideable now .  Just put new wood rims on bike and took it for a ride works great. But it is stretch for me as the frame is 26inch  Has Sager saddle shown in 97 catalogue and original tool pouch. Wood handle bars. It is match for my Ladies bike. I have not screwed the head badge on as yet.

Hey Dave what a great bike I love it. The headbadge is so elegant. Nice original paint that tells the history and quality of the product back in the day. What wood wheels did you use?

 Wheels are Made in Ohio by Stutzman Wheel shop and are excellent.  He puts a alloyed rim set in the wood rim which makes it a lot stronger and does not show when tires are on.  Rims are 125.00 US each which  hurts with the way our dollar is .. I have bought 5 pair of rims from him in the last 2 years and am very satisfied.   Rims trued up straight as an arrowand tires go on with no problem ,which can't be said for original wood rims most of the time.
