1902 ccm

Hi I'm new to this forum.

I have just inherited my grandfather's 1902 ccm bike. It has been sitting in a garage since 1963. It is rusted. It appears to have all its parts. I'm unsure if I should attempt to clean it or leave it as is. Unsure if attempt to remove the rust would harm it, decrease its valve. Or if it has any valve do to its rust. I was interest if anyone in this forum had any insight.

Thank you

Kelly

Pictures would help.

Don't touch it.

If you are selling it, leave it to the pros to restore.

If you are keeping it, wait for the replies.

There is value but condition is a major factor.

Photos and location are important.

Looking forward to seeing it.

I may buy it once it is seen if it is for sale and I am the highest bidder.

Thanks for sharing the story

Any pictures and is it for sale??

Thanks for all your responses. I will take pictures of it. How do you value this bike? As were I live. I live in northern Ontario. Going back to the bike should I tried to get some of the rust of. Or start just by giving it a good wash.

Thanks Kelly

Hi Kelly

What makes you think the bike is 1902? I would be interested to see what the head badge has on it. Can tell us does it have wooden rims? Like veyone says pictures would be great.

Regards dave

I will take pictures tomorrow

Thanks Kelly

Thanks Kelly

I believe most on this forum would agree that this bicycle is a 1947, primarily based on serial number which appears to be 2S1403.

Head badge is the other noticeable indicator.
