1942 CCM

Hello,

I just purchased my second CCM today. Its missing the head badge and one grip. The serial number dates it to 1942. What attracted me to this bike, besides being a CCM is its 28"/700C wheels. Does anyone know what model it is. Was the frame originally all black like it is now or has it been repainted?

 Might be a War grade model .Are the hubs painted or chrome? If it is a war grade  model it would have had a decal head badge. Can you see holes where a metal head badge would have been mounted or not/?

I found Wayne Gillies's 41 CCM catalog in his photobucket. Thanks Wayyne! It appears that my bike is a Rambler. It does have chrome plated hubs and holes on the sides of the head tube for a badge. One screw is still in the hole, the other is missing. Does anyone have a CCM Rambler badge to sell or trade?
