Been to a Barn...
Yesterday, I went into the country to talk to a fellow about some old bicycles he was supposed to have. Well, he did have some old bikes.
I waided through crotch deep snow to get at as many as I could and took as many pictures as I could in the time the impatient owner would allow.
So far, it looks like there is at least one neat CCM in the pile. The headbadge says Cleveland. The top tube is straight. The drops are track style. The fork crown ins track style. Three piece cranks. Racing style saddle leather saddle that looks much the same as the one on my 1939 CCM "Road Racer".
Anyway, have a look. I have arrows pointing to the bicycle. Any comments regarding model and vintage would be welcome.
I am going to be allowed to return to the guy's place, when the snow is gone, and plan to help organize the bikes and take some good pictures. One cannot but wonder what else is tucked away. I know for sure that there is at least on old rod brake steed in the bunch - an old Phillips.
Looks like a terrific find Randy. Keep us posted.
Have you gone back to the barn?
