Join collectors Mike Barry, Brian Reynolds and Lorne Shields for an insider's tour of Bike City: How industry, advocacy and infrastructure shaped Toronto's cycling culture
Mike Barry
Mike Barry, bike-maker, founder and co-owner of Mariposa, Toronto's renowned hand-built bicycle manufacturer, loaned the first Mariposa single-gear track bike (1969) to Bike City as one of several bikes on display from his collection.
Brian Reynolds
Brian's passion for Canadian cycling history goes back to his time as a researcher at the Canada Science and Technology Museum. Several bikes from his collection are included in Bike City.
Lorne Shields
As one of North American's top collectors of pre-20th-century bicycles, ephemera and memorabilia for over 50 years, Lorne Shields provided a wealth of information and artifacts for the Bike City exhibit.
