CCM 1940 Flyte 8

I bought a 1940 Flyte 8 at a farm auction in Saskatchewan. I'm going to put back to as original as I can. I'm slowing removing the green paint to the original maroon underneath. I have bought a couple other CCM's to use as parts(1937 & 1939). The bars & stem that came on the Flyte 8 are on the left. Are these correct, or should I use the stem on the right?

The other photo is of the seat that came on the bike.. is this an original seat?

Thanks, Stacey in Vancouver

Stem on the right

Seat should be a long spring Mesinger (make)

Can you show a picture of the entire bike? Appears to be a tall frame model.....

Thanks roadworthy, I'll take some photos, the Flyte is all apart at the moment. The headtube on the flight is 5". The photo with the correct stem above, is on a 1939 CCM Standard Roadster, which I am robbing parts off of. It has a 7" headtube. It also has the perfect chrome rims with the maroon stripe in the middle and white pin stripes on either side.

What color would the fenders be on a 1940 Maroon Flyte 8? Would they be that kind of off-white color with a maroon stripe down the middle?

From a CCM 1940 catalogue.

Perfect Reference!! Thanks!

I found this seat at a local bicycle swapmeet, does this look like the correct one?
