CCM Flyer Seatpost

Somewhat confused ... Trying to find out what the correct seatpost is for a 1939 Flyer. I have found 2 different descriptions -

From one spec sheet - "Special straight type, nickel and buffed. Corked."

From another - "Seat Post - No. 1504, special stright type, aluminum tubing, swaged, heat treated, polished and buffed, drilled and punched, corked."

I have attached the a couple of pics of the seat tube I have which seems to fit the second description perfectly with the exception of "corked" ... any thoughts/comments appreciated.

Thanks

They plug the hollow post by putting a cork in the top open end of the seat post to prevent water from entering the frame and travelling down the seat tube into the bottom bracket. They often go missing.

So that is what the "corked" refers to ... was wondering if that was why. Thanks so much for your reply. Any idea why the seat post would be "drilled and punched" see my pics?
