Dave AKA: June 69 Prechopper Kid

Hey fellas!  I live becide the largest collection of bicycles in North America at the science & Tech Museum in Ottawa  My grown daughter is a model working in TO.  I am a collector & restorer of modern pieces.  I Ride my beater bike all winter & the vintage bikes when the weathers good, for daily transportation.  I was looking for toys on eBay five years ago & saw a Raleigh Chopper.  "Hey thats my old bike"  that I had totally forgotten about..  Ever since then I have been possesed by the Bike Gods & have a small colection of Canadian late model Muscle Bikes.  I don't have a shop or garage & only build a bike a year keeping them as original as possable.  A Prechopper is a pre-production Raleigh Chopper.

Somehow your picture got dropped. If you get a chance maybe pop it back up. Raleigh and CCM had a very close relationship throughout the years, and at one point in the early 80s CCM had the opportunity to buy the Raleigh plant in Waterloo, Quebec, but was in no financial position to do so.

How close a relationship did  Raleigh & CCM have?   I am trying to see what  level of connection there may be between the CCM Marauder AKA: Supercycle THE WEDGE & the Raleigh Chopper.  I would very much like to know  when the Marauder was first avaliable..
