girls skate bottoms N.O.S.

Goodday all Here are some photos of a girls "auto skate" set in the original box--came from an old hardware store in Campbellford auction a few years ago & Store is no more!  any guess as to the era????--Larry Healey

Larry I would suspect early twenties. By the thirties CCM was selling "matched sets" which meant the boots and blades were attached before they left the factory.

John, how did that work when you bought the blades? You had to find a boot and have someone to fit them together?

Yeah. Initially the blades were strapped to your boot.

Then companies began to provide screws with the blades, so you could attach them more securely.
