Name that Bicycle
Hello Vintage CCM,
I'm Looking for assistance finding the identity of the bicycle shown in attached pictures. It gives some clues, but has been repainted at some point and is missing the head badge. Seems to have been rebuilt at some point. Here's the key info:
- Serial #Y18071 stamped on seat post lug
- Tru-Wel England stamped into rear drop-out tube
- Bottom Bracket Lug stamped Made in England
- The steer tube lug is very unique. The curved top tube is tangent to it rather than intersecting it.
- There is no support tube between the curved top tube and the down tube
- Wheels are 26" with Falcon Made in Canada on the front and Favorit 5904 coaster on the rear.
- Original colour seems to be blue
- Seat has Supercycle placard and chrome bar across the back
- bottom bracket is Wiley Bayliss England
I am led to believe the frame may be Supercycle/CCM based on the serial number. However, the "y" serial number doesn seem to exist on CCM. The closest frame I have seem with the unique top tube is a Speedwell. Phillips, or Raleigh are my next best guesses
Any insight into this future "Ice Cream Getter" is greatly appreciated!

It looks to resemble a Standard Cycle Product bicycle .
Thanks Gt
Hi GT,
Thanks for the info. Any guesses as to what year it might be, or what the headbadge would look like? I'm well on my way at refurbishing it.
Thanks Again,
