Not sure why folks choose to post under "anonymous" rather than use their login. Quicker, maybe?

Problem is that any comment entered anonymously has to be approved before being posted. This could mean a substantial delay before it actually appears on the site. Comments posted by those who are logged in do not need approval and go directly to the site. It's much more immediate, so I encourage folks to log in when posting.

Anyone who does not have a login can get one by clicking on Register in the upper right hand corner of the Home Page.

Thanks so much and a sincere welcome to everyone who has joined the forum over the last little while. It's a clear indication that the venerable CCM marquee is indeed alive and well.

Hiya John,

Thanks for that message about logging in.   I had not realised I had been logged out.  What system do we have to keep us logged in?  I would be happy to stay logged in all the time if thats possible.

Thanks again for creating this site, great work mate!

Hi I am from Regina, SK and have been collecting bicycles for 17 years and have a severe sickness for vintage bicycles. I own a few hate to admit to how many. But on the other hand I build and restore to ride. So all my bikes are riders, regardless of age. My oldest bicycle is a 33 Schwinn Balloon Tire. I am a lover of CCM bicycles especially Survivors, the ones that aren`t restored. My list of CCM built bicycles are as follows:

1939 CCM Double Bar Ranger 28" faded maroon color Original Paint

1939 CCM Flyer Powder Green( In process of overhauling)Original Paint

1949 CCM Standard Camel Back Balloon Tire Maroon Ashes of Roses Gold Scallops Original Paint

1952 Zenith Single Bar Balloon Tire Completely Restored. (One of the bikes that started my sickness) Spruce Green

1958 Zenith Double Bar Balloon Tire Metallic Blue. Original Paint

1964 CCM Catalina Gold Cantalever style frame. Last year of the stamped Brass Headbadge. Original Paint

I have a 28" Double Bar Hot Rod on the go and a Original 1950 Ballon Tire Custom( just the frame, mint maroon paint)also on the go.

Congrats on the great site

Sounds like you got some nice steeds in your stable. Got any pictures?

Hey Rob

I am working on the pictures, I`m trying to get things rounded up digitally then I will be download.

Shouldn`t be to long.

I woulds love to see pictures of your Ranger, I believe mine would be just like yours, mine is navy blue. Does tthe badge say only the word Ranger? Is yur serial # under the crank? If I knew how to post pictures here I would, still new and learning though :)

Mine has Ranger on the down tube barely visible as the paint is pretty faded(maroon). But its a survivor and a high miler. My head badge is the standard CCM Diamond shape. The serial # is right below the saddle. The wheels are the painted maroon type. I am trying to get set up to post pictures also

My badge says CCM and it is the Diamond shape. The serial # is on the seat post just below the seat. Ranger decal is visable on the down tube of the bicycle. I am still working on the pictures as I am fairly computor illiterate.

The easiest way to post photos is to start a new thread.

Go to Vintage CCM Bicycles

Click on Post new Forum topic.

Name your topic - for example - CCM Ranger.

Below the white comment box is a smaller box titled - Add image

Click browse

Find your photo and click open

Then click upload. That should be it. Let me know if it isn't.

Also a reminder that's it's faster and easier to know who's commenting if you log in rather than posting as anonymous.

It does seem quite simple but  when I try to upload pics it tells me my file is to big. Not sure how to shrink the file. What about allowing uploads of  img codes from like photobucket or the like. I know I can post a link to my photobucket pics but its kind of annoying having to click on links to see pics rather than scrolling through them on this site.

I will check into that, Rob. Unfortunately, my own computer skills are minimal. However, I will talk with the lad who has worked on the site.
