trying to date old bicycle

I'm trying to date an old bicycle I have.  Can anyone help?  I bought it from a neighbour 25 years ago for my daughter to ride and now we want to sell it. Pictures are attached.      Yes, the number under the seat is 1P 1276 and CCM is on a piece by the rear hub

Yes, the number is 1P1276 and CCM is on a piece under the rear hub

1P1276 would be 1946.

I have 1A 5540 on a CCM Flyte  and someone thinks that is 1937?

If Ms Jane's frame is 1P 1276 for 1946 CCM Clipper

Ms Lady- Jane:

'Clipper' crops up in a number of brands world wide over decades.

It is merely an model  title embued with an ethos to suit the intended buyer[ I mean prospect]

You can speed along at a fair clip.

Clippers were also world speed record holders in sailing ships across the Atlantic for example.

I think the last 19c clipper ship is in England all preserved.

 I have an old pre 20s ladies C frame 'Somme' bike  and it has this marvelous decal on the top down tube in italics or script and that is 'Speed.' The FUTURISTS would have  loved that.
