Sunshine bicycles

Received the following note:

I just worked on an old sunshine bike and am curious if the serial number I found on it can be traced to a production year etc. The number is 024535 if it means anything. I'm not sure of it's an original number or some sort of bike registry number. This bike is in beautiful condition but needs a little TLC which I'll be giving it. I'm planning to restore it for the owner as he's a good friend of mine so any information of parts etc. would be greatly appreciated. Kevin

Can anyone help out?

John

More ID bike pics

Thanks I hope the new pics will be more help. Dave.

Looking for help to ID this bike ?

I've had this bike for over 15 years and would love to know what it is. Thanks Dave Murphy .

A Canadian classic at auction.....

I don't know about anyone else, but it seems every time I see an old bike in an auction listing the sale is either too far away or taking place on a day I can't go. In fact, seldom do old bikes even appear for sale in my neck of the woods.

You can appreciate my complete surprise then when a photo of an E Z bicycle made by the Nott Bicycle Co. of Brantford ON. appeared in ad for a sale taking place not far from where I live.

70's Supercycle?

Hi everyone, what can you tell me about this Supercycle. What model, year, etc. Were Supercycle made by CCM? Serial # is D800169. Thanks, Sean

Mark your calendars!

Joycycle sign

I usually like to keep the things I find in the condition in which I found them. This sign was so rough, however, that I wondered why I even bought it.

Standard Cycling Products of Toronto

I am looking at a 40's era bike, it took me a while to identify but it is a Standard Cycling Procter bicycle made in Toronto, I cannot really find any information on this company, and am weary of purchasing it if I cannot find parts for it...

Does anyone here know some of the history behind this company and their bikes?

Reproduction early 20th century bicycle tires

Hello,

I want to purchase some repro bicycle tires for the WW1 era.  Photographs, illustrations and manuals show either white or off white tires.  I see both white and cream colours are available, but I was wondering what experts feel better represent the look of this period.  White or Cream?  Thanks!  --David

Ron Miller's head badges

I'd like to thank Ron for sending along the wonderful photos of his head badges. I decided to post them here as well since I had to reduce them a bit to put them on the front page. They came with the following note from Ron:

Hello John

I thought all the CCM  folks might like to see these Head Badges.
