Want to know what something is worth? Post the details here.
I just picked up this bike. Serial number starts with X which indicates that its a 1935 but i thought i read somewhere that CCM chainrings werent inuae until sometime after that. The rear hub is a perry. Its been repainted unfortunately and the seat and handgrips are obvious replacements.
Hi
i have this old ccm that has been in a basement for a long time, wondered if anyone can tell me Anything about it? The rims are red on centre where the spokes mount, and i think it's all original,,,
thanks
I've had this apart and in a bike box for the last few yrs now. Except for the rims, the bike is in excellent condition even though it was in a shed for decades.. It appears that the front wheel was exposed to the elementsand is quite rusy and in need of a few spokes. The back rim is in need of cleaning up also but both wheels are as true as a die. Fenders, pedals, chain guard, rear reflector, and spoon brake(?) are mint.
Does anyone have an idea of what the following components are worth, in today's market? The pictures show dirty items but the parts will clean up really well. The chrome on the cranks, headset and stem is really good. The wheels are also chrome and in good shape also. I intend to strip and clean everything today. Anyway, the pictures...
I hope to find a fair value for this easy to restore Sunchine roadster. The bicycle now belongs to Bicycles for Humanity and they intend to offer it for sale. All proceeds go to that organization to help with our costs of sending bicycles to Africa. The group has already sent over 6000 decent bicycles, ten or more shipping containers and boxes, boxes, boxes of spare parts.
The delivery bike is my all time favourite and one just came up in my local kijiji. It's just the frame and fork and is very rusty. The seller is looking for offers but I have no idea of the value and curious what you all think. If I was to throw out a number, it would be $40-50 in the condition it's in and since it's not complete. Am I way off base? I don't want to insult the seller but I don't want to break the bank on a major project either.
Hey Folks,
I've come across what I think are CCM Flyer items:
- crank shaft
- crank arms (5 hole spider)
- spindle
Any insight/interest is appeciated.
Thanks,
ISP
I believe it is a 1948 CCM roadster . It said CCM 37 MADE IN CANADA pat 1937 on the rear hub . The ser# ( xTxxxx )
I have a what I believe, according to the serial number, a 1973 Ranger. Anyone have any idea what it would be worth? tires are 26" and about 30" from the ground to the horizontal bar.
I have had it for 20 years. Original rubber and garage stored. I got it from an old guy who bought it new, rode it a mile down a grid road and hung it up in his shed.
I have no idea what is value is.
