1923 CCM ???
I'm in need of some expert advise. I recently aquired a CCM bicycle that is in decent shape. I have begun to restore it but I don't know what it is supposed to look like because I can't identify the year and model. My guess was that it isfrom around the 1960s, but while disassembling the bicycle I found a serial number on one of the drop outs: C95603. I used the CCM serial number chart which dates it to 1923. Is this correct??? Can someone please help me identify this bicycle from the pictures below? I have the rest of it in parts and can supply more pictures if necessary.

nice 50s headbadge. look for numbers at the top of the seat tube, left hand side.
I'd say 1970 because of the way it looks and because the badge clearly is newer than 1923. 1923 and 1970 serial numbers had "C" prefix.
Thank you very much for the prompt response. Any idea of what the model might be? It is a single speed with coaster brakes and townie handlebars. From the research that I've done online my best guess is that it is an Imperial or a Galaxie. There was no chainguard when I aquired the bike and I would like to purchase the proper one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'll take a guess and say it's a '63. I have an Imperial that has a E prefix and I think it's a '65. The brass headbadge is identical to what I have, and anything later seems to have a sticker for the headbadge. You could check the date stamp on the rear hub if it's a Sturmey Archer to give you a rough idea as well. I have seen Imperials with a coaster brake or a three speed, so it very well could of been one. There was a guy on ebay selling a chainguard for an imperial in blue a little while ago. Might be worth a look to see if it's still listed!

definitely 1983. The headbadgestyle and serial number location are both incorrect for a 1970s model.
I dare say that headbadge is incorrect for an '83 too ;)
