I am wondering if anyone has information on this particular bicycle. I know it`s a 28" wheeled bike. Wondering what colors it came in. I just purchased this bike and it needs complete restoration. Any info would be appreciated
Here is the page from the 1936 catalogue showing that particular model. Any listing I've seen for it has indicated the same colour scheme - "Scout green" with gold detailling - no options.
The print is a little difficult to read, so I'll email you a copy of the page.

Thanks John and Denis. The Boy Scout needs a complete restoration. It`s a Z in the serial # which makes it a 37 if my memory serves me right. I am wondering if it would be worth the restoration.

1936 CCM Boy Scout will be a servivor as the previous to previous owner did a terrible black rattle can paint job literally. I was able to remove the black paint with out effecting the original that`s how good there paint was back in 1936. The top bar has about a six inch wear strip on each side from some owner doubling back in the day, you can still see some of the scallops, nice. Funny thing is I picked this bike up as a parts bike, because it had a triplex crank and ccm truss rods that aren`t correct for the bike. I am hoping the owner has the original wheels as the deep dark green is so nice and farelly rare I am thinking. What`s your take John as CCM back in 36` didn`t a have green. It was mostly maroon, navy, and black for there line up was it not?

I picked up a CCM Boy Scout a few years ago. Having no interest in vintage roadsters or balloon tire bicyce, I traded it to a fello in Manitoba, as I recall. I did not take many pictures but here it is. For what it is worth, mine was pre-1937 and fitted with the script numbers, not stamped, on the rear hub.
Sadly, I have no idea of how to post pictures in this forum but will do so if someong can bring me up to speed with picture posting.

Generally speaking I believe that's true, but I do have a 1939 motorbike that's green with red and gold accents.
Would you know how many Boy Scouts were made and for how many years or was it just for 1936?
Can't say for sure how long they were made; there is one in the 1941 CCM bicycles catalogue...colour Maroon.
just pick one up this week also,
it's green with gold accent, black wheels with gold pinstripping
no extras, just real plain, but cool to have
Where are you folks finding these?
Massey-Harris Silver Ribbons.
1897 Clevelands.
CCM Boy Scouts.
Man I'm travelling in the wrong circles or looking in the wrong places ha-ha.
Congrats folks those are some sweet machines.

i can snap a few pictures

you guys are going to shot me.......i am using it for parts
