Sorry guys Ken from Trenton bought the bike - he was tickled pink - said it was a great deal for $800.00 - the bike was owned by my Uncle who recently passed away at the age of 85 years old - my aunts bought him the bike in 1936 but kept it until his 16th birthday - so the bike has only had 1 owner - the seat is original and Ken says they cost $500.00 or more just for the seat - it's the one with the pouch for tools - so we probably could have gotten more but I am so pleased that Ken got the bike because he will restore it to its original beauty - and I couldn't be more happy than that!
Can't wait to see what you do with it Ken - really looking forward - my Aunt is 91 years old and the only sister left in a family of 14 kids - only one Uncle left as well...so this bike was very special to me and thrilled that someone like you got the bike! It's in good hands now! Thank you.
this was a great heart warming story, generally these bikes are completely out of my price range but i get a kick out of the history and the stories that go along with them. Im also glad to hear that it found a good home.

Yes, just got back from an extended road trip to pick up the bike. The irony of this (apart from the fact that I sensed something bigger was about to happen) is that I have a '36 Flyte frame with serial number Z 5 0 0 1 and this one is Z 5 0 0 2. is this serendipity and fate colliding? Hmmmm..... Could be that the story on this one has just begun. The assembly line brothers are back together!! What does this mean?
