1938 tubular bar (Tu-Bar) "Bicycle Built" Streamline Joycycle, Model 61

Now that I have a little more information,  I thought I would share some more pictures of a one year only Joycycle that I am happy to have.  It is missing a spoke in the drive wheel and I will be tuning up all of the broken, missing and bent spokes in the rear wheels shortly (being threaded currently).

The promo material reads " The modern trend of streamlining has been accomplished in tubular design without the addition of unnecessary weight, or noisy trimmings" ...."This recent addition to the Joycycle family features the ""Ultimate in Streamlining"" .  It has more than outward appearance."

I would add that with the cast iron rear step plate this little gem, - the smallest on offer with the 14" diam front wheel,- weighs in at a hefty 27 pounds.

Thanks to Ken for the information.

I might be able to help you if you need spokes. I have some short ones, and some short and fat ones that I'll never use. They came in a CCM parts cabinet I bought. If you need anything, let me know.

Hah!

Is that an ex Cap's Cycles cabinet?  I was looking at one like that recently but never opened the drawers.  That is fantastic! If the rethreading doesn't work out with the "modern" bike shop I am using I will surely let you know.

Thanks very much for the offer, Brian.
