1945 CCM OVERLAND,brass headbadge.
Hey guys I picked up a 1945 ladies loop frame CCM,with a brass headbadge that reads,OVERLAND,Canada Cycle And Motor Company.I was under the assuption that 44 and 45 were decal, war grade bikes, but this kinda proves to me other bikes, with riveted headbadges made it out into the world. The bike has the zinc war era pedals which are correct. When I took the headbadge off,I revealed the original paint which is black with gold pinstriping, also has a 3 spring messinger seat, which I beleieve may be correct.I have had a few war grade bikes with decal headbadges, but not a brass headbadge Overland in 1945.I am basically hoping someone has a picture or some info on Overland.I do know there was an American Overland company that produced cars.I am thinking maybe CCM made a few runs for the Overland company or something like that, but am not sure at all.I am having trouble finding any info at all on this on the internet and not even a picture of the same headbadge.Any pictures or information, would be greatly appreciated.I will try and post a pic soon.Thx=]
