1975 CCM Esprit His & Hera

Just trying to get an idea of what these bikes are worth as a set. My mom & dad have had then since new and even have the original booklet that came with them at time of purchase...jist trying to get a ball park figure on what they could be worth

Beleive they are 1975 Esprit CCM bikes. I haven't seen them as of yet nor have so seen the manual thst came with the bikes.

Me and the wife are thinking of taking them off her hand.

A CCM Ladies bike from the 1930s or 40s in good original condition can be had for $100, so you can imagine what one from the '70s is worth. I would say their value comes from their rideability (and sentimental value for you) and not any added collector value. I hope that helps. If you're wondering what to give your parents for them, maybe $200 for the pair?

I get the ladies bikes for less than $20 at our local bike recycle. Gave 5 away for free last weekend to clear space in my garage. Nice riders but little value other than for the wheels if you need some for another project. Usually the tires are worth more than the bikes due to lack of collector interest.

I suggested that amount since it's your parents, but you would probably get less if/when you sell them. It's hard to answer this kind of question without any details. Rust? Warped rims? Bad tires? There are many variables.

The Esprit was CCM's 10 speed, city bicycle, circa 1973-1978. They were fairly popular and are not hard to find in good condition. I would agree with $100 each, if they are very good condition and had been completely overhauled, with new consumables as needed, but,"as is" samples in very good cosmetic condition can be had for around $40. I see people asking $300+ but this is far too too much for a mediocre bicycle from a period when CCM's reputation was slipping badly.

I have the model you mention for ' his ' in blue since about 6 years now and i love it . No need another 10 speed model :)i have all i need on it...fenders, 10 speed . So, it's enough for me . I changed another 10 speed to a bike chop for the  " Esprit "
