28" Canadian size tire rim, with English Roadster spoke pattern
Hi, I am looking for a Canadian size 28" bike rim, ISO 622, but instead of the usual 36 spokes, this one is for a rear wheel and has 40 spokes. While the spoke pattern is usual for rear wheels on English and Indian roadsters, it is not the normal English 28 inch rim, ISO 635. I am am working on a WW2 BSA MK V army roadster that came out of Ireland. The rear rim is shot, but the hubs restorable. I could switch over to the more usual rims, but would like to keep the front wheel and rim, and original look of the bike. Thanks! --David Webb
40 hole rim 6 22 portdalhousie i have a 40 holed rim wiith a sturmey archer 3 speed hub aw model marked 28x1 3/4 wo i put a 622 tire and tube on it a pumped it up to 60 psi seems to fit good the rim is out of true but all the spoke nipples are seized so i cant tell if the rim is ok this rim is chrome plated but you can see rust starting to come through the chrome its yours just pay shipping from nova scotia hope this helps william rudolph 902 477 9734 prefer to talk on phone rather than e mail i can cut the rim out of this wheel to save on shipping cost if you wish
40 hole rim i also have a n.o.s. 32 hole rim chrome plated same as the 40 holed rim both rims are for stirrup brakes
40 holed rim i cut out the seized spokes and the rim is good enough if you not using stirrup brakes it has a slight hop to it coud someone contact portdalhousie and ask him to reply thanks william rudolph
