CCM Cleveland help

My first post. Glad that there is now a CCM forum although after 20 years I'm getting out of bicycle collecting. Which brings me to my question. I'm selling off my collection, some of it CCM including a wooden wheeled Cleveland. I have an tentative agreement to purchase at $400. Is that about right? My concern is that it may be worth more and I don't want to give it away. My knowledge of the bike is sketchy and although it has been been previously restored I cant vouch for the accuracy.  Cheers.

To me the price seems low, but I'm no expert.

Squeaky Wheel:  I may be interested in some of your bikes, please contact me at bmwchev@msn.com   Cheers, Wayne

i taugh that the deal was made with Bob for his bike, I had the $400 offer, but obviously not, you guys feel free to upbid me, that is how it is these days in the internet world

you might as well stick it on Ebay and see how much you will get

I have no desire to own the bike. Was only offering what I pointed out was my rather limited opinion.

John

no harm John

it's only normal that CCM collectors try to upbid me on it, it's not like we all know each others or own each other something

i am only dissapointed because it seems that in the internet age, people seem to forget what it meens to say SOLD or I WILL TAKE IT

I think the $400 offer is a  fair offer for this particular bike; I paid less than $300 for my '26 Cleveland (in better condition) this past summer and $400 for a much rarer CCM National in the recent past, both have wood rims and are complete.  I have no interest in this bike but am interested to see what else you have for sale, esp if you have 1890s/ early 1900 safties.  Cheers, Wayne,  bmwchev@msn.com

Thanks Wayne & John. As I've been out of the hobby for a few years I just wanted to be sure that it isn't worth 2 or 3X what I was asking.

I find that location of seller to other collectors or willingness to ship item at a reasonable price has a huge effect on how much the item (bike) will sell for.  I think $400 is a fair price for that bike. Maybe it's worth more, maybe it's not. But sometimes waiting for the little higher dollar can bite ya in the butt. Been there. Regardless, I think Loco is getting a good deal for a good bike and Squeaky, you obviously felt comfortable with that number, probably because you had less than that in it. Hope you guys work it out. Its a cool bike!

Well said Rob. Hope it all worked out.
