CCM GT101 for sale soon

I was in 2 Wheel View bike shop today in Calgary, it is a volunteer run organization that sells some donated bike items. There was a very clean shiny mens GT 101 that will be for sale once staff does an evaluation on price. I am not connected to them other than a customer.

Photos of the GT101 at Two Wheel View, the serial number starts with a P

A P-code for the serial number would not be correct. The GT-101 was introduced for the 1968 model year, as a renaming of the Centennial. It was discontinued at the end of the 1970 model year. Consequently, it could have been built during one of four possible calendar years and should have a serial number prefix of  K, L, A or B. The most likely candidate would be a 1970 model, as a poorly struck B could look like a P.

Having said that, it has some substantial variation from what is shown in the 1970 literature. The saddle is an obvious replacement for the OEM, two tone, matress saddle. I've never seen a chrome chain guard on this model but these items are another fairly common replacement. Most perplexing is the fork, which has rake that starts on the lower half of the blades. I can't recall seeing a GT-101, or even a Centennial, with this style of fork. The 1970 literature shows forks with rake that starts on the upper half of the blades. The same fork style appears in the 1971 literature, so it wouldn't appear to be a case where CCM changed the fork after releasing the 1970 literature.
