CCM head badge any idea what it is 1918

Does any one recognize this early CCM Head Badge .Says Made in Toronto so it is before 1918 and the move to Weston. The middle is missing from the badge. But the first letter is S and the last one is D.   Any help would be great. it is a mans bike with later CCM rims and hubs Also a tall frame 24  inch I think, forgot to measure.

I did a Google image search and it turned up a photo from another forum thread right here on this site. Search for: "New member help me ID these bikes" on vintageccm.

While I haven't been able to definitively trace Standard's lineage, there were several Standard brands being manufactured in the USA at the time of the formation of the American Bicycle Company in 1898. It's very possible that at least one them were among the approximately 75 brands that amalgamated to form ABC. CCM bought out ABC's Canadian subsidiary, the National Cycle & Automobile Co., in 1900. With that purchase, CCM acquired the Canadian rights to dozens of USA brands. While Standard wasn't among the seven major brands being marketed by National at the time of the sale, it may have been one of the lesser brands to pass hands in the transaction. We've seen surviving samples of a few National brands that were subsequently manufactured and marketed by CCM, most notably Columbia but also including lesser brands, such as Sterling.
