CYCO ?!?

I was browsing trough pictures on Flickr and saw this. I've never seen a CYCO branded bike before... the badge is like the usual red CCM badge from the 60's but with CYCO brand and it's blue. someone knows something about it?

I believe CCM introduced the Cyco model in about 1954 and kept it in the catalog until 1960. Below are a couple of ads from a 1958 brochure.

that's cool, so CYCO was just a lower priced CCM?

Yes. Here's the page from the 1958 CCM catalogue.

Cyco was a lower priced line, apparently introduced for the 1955 model year. I have CCM's January 1955, 4 page Cycogram, which which printed like a special edition of a newspaper and introduced the line. The front page contains several "articles" and pictures on the brand.  The center, 2 page spread contained illustrations and specs of the 6 models and the last page includes "testmonials" by five CCM employees, regarding the quality of the new line.

For a while I had a ladies frame Cyco. It was rather flexy, due to the frame design, and the slightly bent-back fork did not help the handling (I was eventually able to straighten it out a bit). Small write-up on it here: http://drumbent.com/ccm.html

Hey T-Mar I have a 1955 CYCO but it has been altered a bit I believe, any chance you could scan and post the Cycogram you mentioned?

The format of the Cycogram is far bigger than my scanner bed, however, if you can let me know which model you have, I can scan relevant portion of the literature. Unfortunate;y, you'll find they are scant on detrails.
