Did Norco ever had bikes based on CCM frames in the early 70's?

What the title says, like other frames used by Supercycle, Baycrest, Sears, etc?

I've never seen a Norco that I can confirm as being CCM manufactured. While I can't speak to their early hi-riser and BMX bicycles, they started offering 10 speeds in the mid-1970s and the early ones I've seen were manufactured in France, probably by Gitane, as Norco was the Canadian Gitane distributor. In the very late 1970s Norco took over the Nishiki distributorship for Canada and the 10 speeds started coming from Kawamura in Japan. In the 1980s they were sourcing from Mikki and Yamaguchi of Japan and from Dodsun and Fairly of Taiwan.

If you have a Norco bicycle that you suspect is CCM, post pictures and the serial number. It should be easy to tell if it is a CCM manufactured product.

I've seen only a few Norco highrise bikes and they were not CCM products either.

Hi T-Mar, you may remember the Badgeless metallic orange Spoiler I was trying to identify, well it's that, a B-model.

I've had multiple lead as to what the badge may be either Baycrest or Uniroyal, the lather is the closest match I've found but while searching I found out that Norco had this badge (below) they used in the early 70's.

It's another very close match and unlike the uniroyal lead, I have an actual visual of the badge itself. Additionally, I've contacted Norco themselves and they've agreed to provide info if the do find any. I may take a while so I decided to check on here just in case.

Yes,I remember your previous thread on the bicycle. The only thing I can add is that al lthe Norco head badges I've seen were fastened by rivets, up until the mid-1980s. Hopefully,  Doug can comment on the method of attaching the 1970s head badges on the hi-riser models.

I've only seen 3 highrise Norco bikes, none were of the wedge variety and none had CCM style forks.

Here's the headbadge of one of them.

Thanks for the input, I'll still wait for Norco's response but so far it seems that this Norco badge isn't it, at the very least this will help anyone having the same question or simply working on a early Norco hi-riser.

If I get any photo or visual from Norco, I'll see if I can share those here.

Another slightly newer Norco head badge, this time from an MX-900. Same shape and stillriveted but sligtly smaller. Note the misalignment and Taiwan stamp at the bottom of the head tube.
