Greetings from Eaton Corner
Hey gang.Just got into the vintage bicycle thing kinda by accident.A body man by trade one day I was delivering a car to an old farm and when I got there the old guy was cleaning out an old shed that was half fallen down.I took a quick look inside and saw a little green mustang.I told him I had one of those when I was growing up.He said if I wanted it to take it away because he was going to send it for scrap.Well when I was putting it in the back of the truck the old guy gave me another ALL PRO girls bike to go with it.Now I have 6 bikes and do yard sales on a regular basis.
Cool. Thanks for sharing that. Makes me wonder how others got involved with vintage bikes. How about it folks? Where did it all begin???
It started for me in 1986 when l rescued a 1971 Grand Sport from my neighbour's garbage. l was riding a Specialized Rock Hopper at the time but found the CCM alot more comfortable to ride. It just had a sturdy feel to it and eventually sold the Rock Hopper and haven't look back since.
