Greetings from Orillia, Ontario

Hey all, I am new here thought I would introduce myself

My name is Rob, I am currently living on disability, and have a passion for fixing up old bikes, I like CCM mainly because I love pulling something apart for once and see Made In Canada stamped on everything for once. I did have a '41 Rambler, but I had to give it up when I had to move, I just finished fixing up a late '70's CCM mystery bike... Never did figure out what model it is, but I use it to do all my grocery runs and shopping, she is heavy but comfy and glides over the bumps nicely with the big baloon tires I put on her.

Just last week I picked up what I believe is a '68 CCM Ranger, it is a smaller frame than the rambler, looks to be so ized for a teenager, though it resembles a Rambler alot. Given my living situation my money is always tight do it will be a long project for me, mainly saving up to have it stripped and repainted.

My dream is to get an old flyte and do an all original restore but they are hard to find and still carry a price tag, unless you find someone clueless to what they have. Though I am pretty much happy tearing down and rebuilding anything to pass the time.

Thanks,

Rob

Hello Rob.  I lived in Orillia a few (15?) years ago.  There was plenty of bikes to find and fix when I lived in the area.  Have fun with the projects!

Welcome, Rob! I was a CCM dealer in the 1970sand still have most of the litereature from that period. If you can post a picture and serial number of your 1970s mystery bicycle, I may be able to identify it and the exact year.

I think we all have that "Flyte dream"!

Welcome Rob. I have the "Flyte dream"!!!  I'd trade my 100th Anniversary Schwinn Deluxe Cruiser for a Flyte in a heartbeat!!
