Help in identifying

Hi, I need some help in identifying a bike I recently acquired. It appears to be all original, and rides beautifully. I do need to replace a spoke on the back wheel, but that's not much to complain about.  I will attach a photo of the bike, serial number, and a detail or two. Thanks!

Hello Steve,

This is an easy one. It is a wartime CCM bicycle made in late 1944 or early 1945. From 1942 until 1945, CCM used only a decal as a head badge and did not supply metal head badges. This bicycle is quite rare and it appears to be in good shape. Congratulations on your acquisition.

Don't mess with it. It is only original once.

We might have this decal reproduced by Gus Salmon, I was talking to him about it this week as a matter of fact.

If you are on Facebook, look up Gustavo Salmon, you can get all the CCM decals from him, he does great work.
