Hi, new guy here....
Howdy! I'm thrilled to find this site :) What is stated on the front page is correct - there isn't enough info on the web about CCM so I'm glad to see that the collective knowledge hopes to fill in the gaps. In the past I have owned a 1940-something Flyer track bike, a 36 or 37 Flyte, a 40's balloon tire bike and others (all of which are now living elsewhere). Now I have a 1970's 'delivery' bike missing the basket frame. I found the site because I recently acquired a 1952 or 53 CCM 9 speed which John has suggested might be a Prolite Flyer. I'm looking to learn more about the Proline Flyer and also to locate a basket frame. I guess my first question is what year is my Prolite Flyer? The serial number ends with an E and I've been told that is 1953 however the Sturmey Archer hub is 1952. Would that be a hub made sometime a few months before the bike and it really is a '53, or are the serial number guidelines not set in stone? For those interested, some of my CCM bikes and material are posted to my Flickr site here and 3 sets of Elite's that can be found by searching "CCM" in my photo stream.

Hi Peter. Welcome to the site. Hopefully some folks will ba able to help you out.
Welcome Peter! Great pics! Love the track bike but the ballooner is my fave.

Beautiful bikes, especially the cruiser! I can tell you one thing about your cruiser, that rack is an aftermarket Wald product. It first appeared in catalogues in about 1933-34 and was marketed till about the mid 60s without any changes. So it definitely fits right in with your bike!
Oops, one further thing about your Wald rack......there were 3 styles for that rack, one like yours that is just flat, one with springloaded arms that were in an oval shape, and lastly one with springloaded arms that were squared off at the ends. I have the squared off version, springs strong enough to use for a bear trap, lol. OK, enough of my "rack" rambling, carry on!
Hi, I'm a new guy.
I have an older version of what you called a delivery bike.
I have aslo heard them refered to as a tradesman's bike.
You will never, in your lifetime find a carrier for that bike.
You must get pictures and measurments and have one made up.
I would say the parts to get that done up are still being made.
Cheers,
