Interesting frame - what model is it?
Hi. I am hoping the knowledgeable CCM members can help me with this interesting frame. I cannot find
any online to compare it to. Any idea what model it is? It is a B serial number , it has a Super Komet hub, and a
headtube sticker (not badge). 28 x 1 1/2 wheels and a 19" frame. The fork shape surprised me until i realized that a
previous owner had bent them, then turned them around so the bike would still function ! Must have had interesting
handling characteristics. I obviously will be looking for replacement forks also . Thanks
It's a 1970 men's standard CCM Imperial GT. The Komet hub is OEM. It's missing the chainguard, while the saddle and handlebar grips have been replaced. The original saddle would have been a mattress style in two tone white and red. The original grips would have been red. The forks should be easily straightened by any reputable bicycle shop. Congratulations on your new acquisition. Enjoy.
Thanks T-Mar
It is great to have that precise info when I look for parts. I will still have to look for forks though,. as the other side of
the forks are folded/bulged at the crown. I would not trust the structural rigidity if they were straightened.
