See the forum thread "Tire Size Blues" in the catagory CCM Bicycles. Since starting that post, I have discovered that if you pump up the 700x35C Kenda tires to the max 70psi they swell up nicely and are the same size as the old 28x1 1/2 on my other bikes. I buy the Kenda Kwest tires because of price ($21) and off-the-shelf convenience from Canadian Tire. They come in a box. Although they are folding tires, I've never had a problem with them being secured to the rim. I don't have the time or money to be special ordering $60 tires from a bike shop. Finally, these don't have any white or red letters or markings on the sidewall like many other brands. Others will disagree but I don't find their appearance to be distracting from the vintage look of the bike. Grab $6 tubes while you're there.
that is too bad
got plenty of NOS 26" X 1 1/2" and 26 X 1 3/8" but no 28"
aren't we all looking for those
