My Most Recent Score *Its A Keeper*

To me , this is the 32 Ford of CCM's. Ever since I first layed eyes on one, I knew I would have to have one but they seem to always be way outta my price range. Well it was my time to own one I guess, so here it is in its toughness. Needing full resto but thats ok.   http://s583.photobucket.com/albums/ss271/HotRodRob_2009/CCM%20Flyte/CCM%20Flyte/

WOW! Nice find, Rob. That's one sweet bike. Love the picture of the two of you together.

Thanks John. Eventually it will get a proper restoration but for now its gonna be a bit of a hotrod bike with no fenders, primer paint and whitewalls if I can find some....Anyone?

Hi Rob

Nice score, a close friend of mine that is into this craziness also, just finished his 37 Flyte last year. He had it painted a original CCM Turquoise Blue (I`m gonna say 50` era color)as he had a set of NOS Rims never been on a bike this color so he had the paint matched to the wheels. Man does it look sweet. He isn`t running fenders on it. He also isn`t running Gibson pedals on it. He was able to find a set of CCM Rubber block pedals new out of the box Very knice sunny day ride. TTYL and enjoy that bike.

A beauty Rob - Did you find that one locally?

Thanks guys. Didn't find it local, but the score location is secret ;)

Does anyone know how to tell the year on these Flytes? Mine doesn't have the normal serial# on the seatpost. It has a large XM on top of the top tube right close to the seat post. Not sure if that means anything or not. Some help would be great.

Thanks

Rob

Actually on closer inspection the letters are VX with a little tiny c in front of it. Am I to assume its a 39' ? I've never seen a CCM serial# like this before.

Hey Rob, Never seen anything like that before...You sure that`s a factory mark?

No, me neither Merk. Not sure if its factory or not. Cant find any numbers anywhere else though.

Rob

hey Rob how you making out with the Flyte? Any progress?

Funny you ask. I am picking it up from getting painted tomorrow. Can't wait! Still a slow going project but it'll get there.

i had a flyte stolen from me in 2005-6 or so

it was a 1936 painted black frame white forks

if anyone sees it or hear about it

let me know

tks

Max

That sucks Max. Hope your insurance company helped ya out.

Well, finally got the frame back from paint. I had it painted the same colour as my 32 Ford, which is 54 Buick Titian Red.

Lookin' good Rob. Can't wait to see this gem finished.

Now I need a Flyte.

Anyone out there have one in good shape that I could buy.

I need another project bike.

I would give it the love and attention it needs.

Just leave a number here and I'll phone you.

Well, the Flyte is a rider now! Got it finished today....well kind of. I got impatient and put some parts on it that aren't staying but dont look bad for some cruising. Took it for a ride and it rides nice and smooth. Definately a head turner. Plan on puttin some miles on it tomorrow as well. http://s583.photobucket.com/albums/ss271/HotRodRob_2009/CCM%20Flyte/CCM%20Flyte/
