NOS Coaster Brake Hub Parts

There's more. Will add when I get a chance to take some pictures.

Are you selling it as one lot, or will you sell individual pieces? I could use race bearings for a 1909-1917 Hercules hub brake (not New Hercules). Two of the three bearing races in mine are all chewed up. Believe or not, one ball bearing is even broken in half. I've never seen that before. I'll add a photo later.

Brian,

Not looking to sell any of it. Post a shot of the race. I'll see what I can do.

Joe

The broken races are on the left (smallest) and right (middle size), with the good one (largerst) in the center. There are three 1/2 balls, seen on the right. I don't know where the missing 1/2 is. The ball bearing cone (is that what it's called?) seen on the top left has a pitted bearing surface and should be replaced as well.

Ok, what I thought was a middle size bearing race seems to be the same size as what I called the largest race - both measure 1 3/8" in diameter. The smallest race is 1 1/8" in diameter.

Hi Joe,

I just posted a wanted ad looking for a few parts for a '37 CCM Coaster Brake Hub. Any chance you still hve some of these parts? Thanks, Rod

Brian,

Why not just use loose ball bearings. I know it is not original, but the hub will work properly. The correct bearing size is crucial to maintaining the proper clearances so that the hub functions properly. This is what I had to do to a similar early Hercules hub.
