I bought a badgeless bike earlier this year, posted questions about it on the CABE, and was told it was likely made by Great Western. I'm still trying to find answers, so I'm interested to know more about your bike and see photos. I did image searches of the brands made by G.W.: Crown, Adlake, Cyrus, America, etc and the only bike with the same fork crown design was badged as a Cyrus. I'd love to know the distance between the screw holes on your badge. Mine are one above the other, and 3 inches apart.
Another twist in this story is that the bike came with a Hercules Brake. My first thought was that someone had replaced the original rear hub with a CCM hub. However, after looking around I discovered that the Hercules hub was supplied on non-CCM Canadian bikes. My c.1915 Planet has one, a Hyslop I found in a museum has one, and the Hercules Brake appears in the 1922 Hyslop catalogue. My bike has a Fauber crank set, but low and behold the 1900 Rice and Lewis (Toronto) Bicycle Accessories Catalogue shows Fauber Crank sets for sale. All of this raises the possibility that my badgeless bike may not be a Great Western, but perhaps started life as a frame from G.W. that a Canadian firm imported and attached off the shelf parts and their own badge.
Regarding posting photos, if it's too large, a quick way to reduce its size is to crop it. Also, if it doesn't load on the original post, try uploading it as an attachment on a new comment. I'll see if I can post a pic of my bike.
