Perry Hub/Sunshine Question

I would be grateful if anyone could tell me if any of the Sunshine bikes used a 28 hole Perry coaster hub?

I just came across one NOS. It's...you guessed it...28 hole.

If they did, it would almost certainly have been for a children's bicycle, where the smaller diameter rims require less spokes for adequate stiffness. For instance, CCM used 28 spoke rims on their bicycles with 18", 20" and 24" wheels.

That makes sense. My Sunshine balloon tire bike with 26" rims still has 36 spokes on the rear wheel.
