Rims for CCM Flyte
Can anyone tell me if the Flytes ever had the Dunlop, red stripe rims? I picked up a 1939 ,gal's Cleveland and it has an excellent set of these.
The ones I have on there now are definitely right as far as looks go, but they are not Endrick or Dunlop and are really too nice as far as matching the rest of the patina of the bike.
Cheers.... Wayne
The Flyte had 2 different rim sizes. In 1936 the Flyte Spun on 28 inch endrick rims
Then from 1937 till 1940 /41 rolled on Dunlop 28 X1 3/4 WO like You mentioned
Well these would work just fine as there has been a lot of discussion as to whether mine is a '36 or '37!
Cool! thanks so much for the info!
Here's the one I have.

If that chrome fork is OG to the Flyte frame then it has to be a.
37 or greater

That's the rub....we're not sure. Serial number says 36 but fork says not.
Doesn's matter. The Dunlop rims are more correct that what I have now.
