Serial Numbers

Hello!

I have located the serial numbers on my CCM's.

One is 40271C, which according to the chart is a 1951 model.

The other is E185811.... which doesn't correspond. Does anyone know what year this may be?

Thanks!

PS - I will post pictures after this weekend - I will include some of my Uncle's collection that will be on display at the Essex County Steam and Gas Engine Show in McGregor, ON.

Current thinking, based on available data, suggests  the E prefix indicates 1965 and 1973. Not too many models survived that span, so the model name will most likely allow us to determine which of the two options in the appropriate year..

Diane: How did the show go?

The show was actually down in attendance due to rainy weather.  As soon as the sun did peak out, my Uncle brought out his bikes and there was no shortage of people in the booth looking at them.

I even acquired 2 Werlich tricycles and a Thistle cart!

Nice haul. Were the tricycles and the cart for sale there?

No, they weren't for sale at the show. A fellow collector had stopped by the booth and mentioned that he had a few things left for sale.  My uncle and I went to his home on Monday to take a look.
