Some of my bikes
Here are some pictures of my wood rim bikes all are Canadian except the Spalding (US ) which i I sold about 2 years ago. The Massey silver ribbon is the bike i ride most and have taken this bike on about 7 rides of 500 KMs or more. This pass summer i rode it to Ohio with 3 other guys to Findley Ohio to a Wheelmen meet .Five days and the last day we did a centuryFirst day we did 60 Kms next 90 next 105 next 30 and then 160 to make a 100 mile centuty. Great fun with one speed and original wood rims.
Those are some great bikes. Thanks for posting them Dave.
Nice bikes, and it sounds like quite the ride you've taken them on. I love the look (and ride) of the large frame bikes. I've never had the chance to try one with wooden wheels, but I'm sure it's a real treat.

Hello Dave,
As a collector of Plymouth cars and now CCM bikes I am interested the Dodge brothers history which started in Windsor building bikes prior to thier returning to Detroit.
I see in another post you indicate you have an Evans & Dodge bike, can you post a photo of it?
As a contributing member of the Plymouth Owners Club I wrote an article for the club magazine on the Dodge brothers bike building for Canadian Typograph Company. John and Horace Dodge invented and applied for a US patent for a dust proof bicycle bearing on 25 July 1895, by Nov. 1897 the Windsor plant had over 100 employees.
In 1901 after moving to Detroit, the Dodge brothers were building and selling transmissios to Olds then running gear to Ford.
Canadian Typograph was sold and became CCM.
Email me and i will send you some pictures of the Evans and Dodge i have. It is a pain getting pictures on this site. At least it is to me.
