Standard Cycling Products of Toronto

I am looking at a 40's era bike, it took me a while to identify but it is a Standard Cycling Procter bicycle made in Toronto, I cannot really find any information on this company, and am weary of purchasing it if I cannot find parts for it...

Does anyone here know some of the history behind this company and their bikes?

Sorry the should read Standard Cycling Products.... The auto complete on this tablet sometimes changes words on me with out me noticing :)

Standard Cycle Products was a Toronto company, in existance from about 1930 to 1961, at one time located near Carlaw & Dundas, later at 600 Victoria Pk.  It appears that sometime during the war years or shortly thereafter, CCM acquired the company, and continued to sell bikes under the SCP badge.  I have been researching SCP and its ties to CCM, but there is not a wealth of info, although I continue to gather snippets; most recently, the loan of a 1939 foremans "build guide" (no photos or serial #s) through the generosity of Blaine Hughes.  Hopefully, in the near future I will be able to provide more info

Also, there is info on this site if you search "SCP"

Upload pics, please, so a determination can be made of parts required OR period correct replacements. If built in 50s/60s, should be no problem as frames, fenders, etc were the same as CCMs.  It appears they all had  3 piece bottom brackets.

NB .......Do any of you out there have any  pre war CCM factory "build books" (Specs sheets) that I could get info from in order to determine if the stock numbers used by SCP and CCM were the same or similar.
