Posting for a friend. Can anyone tell me the history of this chain. I don't have any other pictures but this is from a CCM Bicycle. Very unique. Large-small-large-small tooth pattern and chain to match.

It is a 1 inch pitch roller chain used early 1900,s on up till the 40,s or so Half inch pitch roller chain is more common on mosts bikes after 1915 or so, maybe earlier. Just my take on it.

Thanks Dave,
This gives some range of age. I assume these are obsolete (i.e. not used in any other industry/application). I am not sure if Rob tends to ride the bicycle and/or if the chain and sprocket are rideable. A really neat paiece of cycling history.

A picture of the bike might give a better idea of the age. You can still find this chain new if you look in the righr places.
